The official ball of the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship drew praise from FIVB Executive Vice President Hugh Graham, who witnessed its performance firsthand during the Pool Phase of the tournament at the Smart Araneta Coliseum over the weekend.

Manufactured by Mikasa, the tournament’s official ball is a special edition of the V200W and was unveiled just months before the World Championship. It features a new visual identity designed to “embody the dynamic spirit of volleyball.”
“Well, first of all, I just want to congratulate the Philippines for hosting the Men’s World Indoor Championship, and the ball—with the logo on it—wow,” Graham said.
“That is quite a difference, having a Mikasa ball all over the world, specifically designed for this event. Congratulations to Mikasa as well.”
More than just aesthetics, the ball incorporates cutting-edge technology from FIVB partner Mikasa, promising elite-level precision, control, and durability. Best of all, its design was shaped by player input, which is pivotal for the continuous improvement of Mikasa products.
“The good thing for us is that FIVB involves players in the design of the new balls. The players provide feedback, and the dimples on it—the new dimples—mean they have more control of the ball, which is great,” Graham explained.
“[It also] means better play, more play, and more enjoyment for the fans as well,” he added.
Fans can also purchase the 2025 World Championship official game ball in select markets through the official Volleyball World shop.
Looking ahead, Graham believes that FIVB’s partnership with Mikasa will continue to grow.
“Absolutely. Mikasa has been a partner of FIVB for many, many years, including with the AVC, and we look forward to a long relationship with them. Thank you, Mikasa,” he said.
