Ben & Ben brings act to FIVB MVWCH as Official Music Partner and Ambassador
THE Filipino brand of music shares centerstage with elite volleyball action following the introduction of top indie folk-pop bang Ben & Ben as the Official Music Partner and Ambassador of the country’s solo hosting of the FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship Philippines 2025.
Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) president Ramon “Tats” Suzara officially introduced Ben & Ben as a significant partner for the historic hosting of the 32-nation championship that the country is hosting from September 12 to 28 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena and the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
“To truly showcase the Philippine brand as we host the FIVB MWCH 2025, we are glad to have Ben & Ben as our Official Music Partner and Ambassador,” Suzara, also president of the Asian Volleyball Confederation and executive vice president of the FIVB, told a press conference on Tuesday at The Vault in BGC.
“With Ben & Ben, our own world-class culture and music will be showcased not only in the international volleyball community but in the entire world as well,” added Suzara as he also revealed that the world championship’s Official Theme “Electrify” will be launched soon.
Twins Paolo and Miguel Benjamin Guico, both lead vocals and acoustic guitarists, formed the group in 2016 as The Benjamins until they became Ben & Ben alongside Poch Barretto (electric guitar), Keifer Cabugao (violin), Patricia Lasaten (keyboards), Toni Muñoz (percussion), Andrew de Pano (percussion), Agnes Reoma (bass guitar) and Jam Villanueva (drums).
Now a multi-awarded and most sought after group in the country, Ben & Ben will bring their world-class brand to the world championships whose preparations have gone full swing with the Trophy Tour, Interactive FanZones and Watch Parties all set to be launched ahead of the global event.
Alas Pilipinas standouts Bryan Bagunas and Eya Laure also joined the launch as official event ambassadors.
2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship Local Organizing Committee co-chairpersons William Vincent “Vinny” Araneta Marcos, Senator Alan Cayetano and Department of Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco, as well as members Senator Pia Cayetano, Philippine Olympic Committee, President Abraham Tolentino, Philippine Sports Commission Chairman Chairman Richard Bachmann, sports patron Manny V. Pangilinan and PNVF Vice President Ricky Palou and Tony Boy Liao and Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano also graced the press conference.
As emphasized by Mr. Suzara, the event’s impact extends well beyond the volleyball court.
“The Philippines is a naturally sports-loving country, and this tournament showcases our ability to host world-class events. Beyond the matches, the 2025 Volleyball Men’s World Championship aims to leave a positive economic and tourism impact while supporting grassroots volleyball development, inspiring future athletes, he said. “It will also generate business opportunities, create value for stakeholders, and reinforce the Philippines as a prime destination—not only for leisure but also for global sporting events.”
With strong support from the government and corporate partners, the 2025 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship promises to be a memorable, impactful, and electrifying event for both local and international audiences.
